FAQ

Have questions before your visit? We’ve gathered everything you need to know to ensure your experience at Spa at the Old Mill is seamless, relaxing, and exactly as it should be. From booking details to spa etiquette, you’ll find the answers here.

How can I book an appointment?

Appointments can be scheduled online or by phone. A valid major credit card is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Call 416-232-3700 or visit www.spaoldmill.ca to book.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Please provide the following notice to avoid cancellation fees:

  • Individual Appointments: 24 hours' notice

  • Multiple or Side-by-Side Appointments: 48 hours' notice

  • Private Parties/Groups: 7 days' notice for the entire group; 48 hours for individual attendees

Failure to provide the required notice will result in a charge of 100% of the booked service price plus applicable taxes.

What if I arrive late for my appointment?

Arriving late may shorten your treatment time, reducing its effectiveness and your enjoyment. Your treatment will end at the scheduled time to accommodate the next client. The full service fee applies.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled service. This allows time to change into a robe and slippers, complete a health history form, and begin to relax with a cup of tea.

Do you send appointment reminders?

Yes, we send email reminders with an option to confirm your appointment. However, even if you don't confirm, your appointment remains booked.

What is your policy on cell phone use?

To maintain a peaceful environment, we kindly ask that you turn off your cell phone and store it in your locker. This helps ensure a relaxing experience for all guests.

Do you offer gift cards or certificates?

Yes, gift cards and certificates are available and can be applied to any product or service at the spa. Service or package-specific certificates expire one year from the date of purchase, but the monetary value remains valid indefinitely. Dollar-value certificates never expire.

What are 'Series' and how do they work?

Series are prepaid packages for multiple services, redeemable by one client only (no sharing). They are valid for one years from the date of purchase and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash.

Can I receive an insurance receipt for my massage?

Yes, if your massage is performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and paid for directly (not with a gift card), we can provide an insurance receipt. If paid with a gift card, the receipt will indicate "gift certificate redeemed" without a dollar amount, in accordance with CMTO guidelines.

What amenities do you offer?

Our spa focuses on providing high-quality, service-based relaxation experiences. We offer a co-ed and a women's only infrared sauna. Clients can enjoy our Quiet Room with complimentary refreshments and light snacks. Lockers and shower facilities are also available for your convenience.

What should I wear to the spa?

Dress comfortably. Upon arrival, you'll change into a robe and slippers provided by the spa.

Is there an age requirement to visit the spa?

Yes, clients must be 18 years or older to enjoy our spa services.

Do you allow children at the spa?

To maintain a tranquil environment, we kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements prior to your visit, as the spa is an adult-only space.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash, and Spa at the Old Mill gift cards. Please note that Old Mill Toronto gift cards purchased before January 2020 are also accepted. To ensure your gift card is valid, please call us at 416-232-3700.

Is parking available at the spa?

Yes, parking is located directly across from the Hotel/Spa roundabout. It is a public outdoor lot and operates on a pay-and-display basis at a rate of $2/hour, up to a maximum of $12/day. If the parking meter is not working, please scan the QR code on the side of the meter or use another meter to obtain a ticket. The lot is regularly enforced, and the spa is not responsible for any parking tickets. Please note, there is no parking in the Hotel/Spa roundabout.
